The Bridal Veil (The waterfall Bratte, Norway)
A French couple, respectively, 28 and 24 years, was on their honeymoon, when they drove off the road 13 July 1951. They ran out at the top of the falls and both were killed. The incident resulted in the fall called, "Bridal Veil". It's set up a memorial plaque in the valley.
Et fransk ektepar, på henholdsvis 28 år og 24 år, var på bryllupsreise, da de kjørte utfor vegen 13. juli 1951. De kjørte ut øverst ved fossen og begge mistet livet. Hendelsen ga fossen tilnavnet, «Brudesløret». Det er satt opp en minneplakett nede i dalen.

Steinsdalsfossen (also called Øvsthusfossen or Øfsthusfossen) is a waterfall 2 kilometers west of Norheimsund, Hardanger in western Norway.
The waterfall is one of the most visited in Norway. A path goes behind it where visitors can walk dryshod "into" the rumbling water. Steinsdalsfossen is about 50 meters high and is greatest when the snow melts in May and June. Steinsdalsfossen is part of the Fosselva river that spring from the waterMyklavatn 814 meters above sea level.
Steinsdalsfossen (i tillegg kalla Øvsthusfossen eller Øfsthusfossen) ligg 2 kilometer vest for Norheimsund i Kvam herad i Hardanger.
Fossen er ein av dei mest vitja i Noreg, og er spesiell fordi det går ein sti bak han som ein kan gå tørrskodd på. Fossen har eit fall på 50 meter og rimeleg god vassføring, særleg under snøsmeltinga i mai og juni.
Steinsdalsfossen er ein del av Fosselva som har sitt utspring frå Myklavatn som ligg 814 moh.
